The Crossing Healing Rooms
The Crossing Healing Rooms is a ministry of Washington Crossing United Methodist Church. The goal is to reach out to all those who are experiencing illness in the love of Christ and with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, to offer the healing power of Jesus Christ through prayer.
The Crossing Healing Room Ministry is NOT a counseling ministry, pastoral ministry, or a medical unit of any kind. We are a ministry of prayer based on Biblical truths concerning healing that are based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross
What is a Healing Room?
A “healing room” is simply a loving, safe, and confidential place where you can receive prayer based on sound Biblical principles. The “healing room” consists of teams of trained volunteers who believe in God’s desire for our wholeness and healing and who believe that God answers prayer. Some individuals are healed instantly by a miraculous touch from God. Others receive their healing progressively over a period of days, weeks, or months. We pray for all kinds of healings and are committed to pray for you for as long as it takes to fully realize wholeness.
Basic Beliefs
The Healing Rooms of Washington Crossing United Methodist Church base our prayer practices on the Word of God and the essential doctrines of the Christian faith.
The scriptures proclaim God’s love for His creation and His desire for wholeness and healing. The Lord proclaimed in Exodus 15:26 that He is our healer, that His name is Jehovah Rapha – “the God who heals you”. Since the Word of God also proclaims that God does not change, we trust God has the power to heal us, the desire to heal us, and that these facts are true today.

God’s Word also proclaims that Jesus’ mission was to suffer and die so that we can e healed. Isaiah 53:4-5 clearly teaches that bodily healing is included in the atoning work of Christ, His suffering on the Cross.
Therefore, as disciples of Jesus Christ, we trust that healing is available to all today and that Jesus came to bring wholeness to the entire person – spirit, soul, and body.
