Two summers ago in a painfully awkward and comic attempt at waterskiing, I pulled my right hamstring and some miscellaneous muscles in my right thigh.  While not requiring immediate professional attention, I did immediately follow the practical treatments recommended by various professional websites.

Gradually, normal but limited strength and flexibility returned, but there was persistent deep muscular tightness in certain areas of my thigh, buttocks and lower back.  Stretching exercises seemed to have little long-term effect on those areas.  Then starting last winter, a few times each week, I began experiencing lower back pain & tightness in my leg when I'd get up in the morning.  This required immediate & prolonged stretching to alleviate the pain & tightness before I could continue on with the day.

In September my wife & I attended the healing conference here at the Crossing.  At one of the sessions a more general invitation for healing was given to the congregation, and after some hemming & hawing, and some encouragement from my wife, I decided to stand up for my hamstring, even though it hadn't been bothering me the last couple of days.  Prayer was given, though no specific word of knowledge about my situation.  Quite honestly, I did not sense or feel anything - but I did have faith and realized that God could heal me without me knowing it - especially since I wasn't in immediate pain.  So I sat down, and remember thinking that the "proof is in the pudding", and that "time would tell".

Well, I'm here to say that it's been almost 10 weeks since then, and I have been pain-free and limber, with not one instance of the early morning tightness & pain I had been experiencing over the past several months! (!!!!)  Thank You, Lord!
