During my experience at the healing school, when they taught and prayed about the words of knowledge I didn’t feel like I received any words. I have been asking the Lord for this gift for a while, so I was a little disappointed when nothing happened. I told the Lord that I would just wait for His timing. On the Monday after the healing school ended, during my devotions, I felt a sharp pain in my left cheek, in the sinus area. Since I usual don’t have sinus problems I thought “Ok Lord, if this is a word of knowledge then you’re going to have to show me who it is for.” I told the Lord, when He revealed to me who this word of knowledge was for, then I would pray for them. To make a long story short, it took four days for me to find out who needed prayer.
The following Thursday, I went to the fabric store. When it was my turn to pay for the things that I was purchasing, the cash register was replaced by a young girl. She asked me how I was and I asked her the same question. Instead of giving the usual answer “I’m fine”, she said “When I get rid of this cold I will be fine”. I asked her if her face hurt and she said “ my sinuses are killing me!” I thought: “Ok Lord, this must be her.”
I told her I had just gone to a conference on healing and that I thought God told me to pray for someone with sinus problems. I asked her if I could pray for her and she said yes. I also asked her if I could touch her and she said yes. So I put my finger gently on her sinuses and commanded healing to take place. I don’t honestly remember what I said. It was a very short prayer. When I finished and said “Amen”, I asked her if she felt any different. She opened her eyes and said “I can breathe!” I was so excited I just kept saying “Thank you Lord!” I must say I still get a smile on my face when I think about what the Lord did. I am looking forward to receiving more words of knowledge in the future.
