In April 2006 the first knuckle on the middle finger on my right hand suddenly became inflamed, swollen, and misshaped. The finger was so tender, and the pain so severe that my first though was that it was gout. Even a slight brushing of the finger against anything brought excruciating pain. After discussing it with my doctor, I had a test to determine what was causing the problem. The test came back identifying arthritis. He prescribed anti-inflammatory medication, which provided some degree of relief.
The Wednesday night after the Global Awakening Healing Conference I was in the Concert of Prayer during the personal ministry time and I thought to myself, “Why not me, Lord?” I asked Ed Reistetter to pray for my hand and as he did the pain felt as though it was being pulled out of my body through the end of the finger. The pain was reduced by 80% and has remained at that level. I share the testimony of God’s healing touch with the Ministry Staff during the week and through the power of that shared testimony during the following Sunday morning services many more people who had hand problems were healed.
